About

The image of a tree is especially important to me. It symbolizes strength, protection, and provision. But a tree is only as strong as its roots. So roots need to be firmly embedded. And what they are embedded in is equally (if not more) important.

Hi, I’m Elisabeth. I’ve grown up loving to grow and nurture life, to get my hands dirty, with the freedom to just ‘have-a-go’. I’m constantly drawn back to the soil as I do believe all life stems from it. I regard it as the ‘soul of life’ in more ways than one. When soils are sick, they do not grow healthy plants or animals – which affects all other life around them.

Likewise, when our souls are sick, we suffer and perpetuate the problem to those around us.

So if we want to grow healthy fruit (literally and figuratively), if we want to be that place of protection for other life, we need to make sure our roots are sinking into good dirt, that we have a constant supply of good water, and are breathing good air.

This in a nutshell is what I’m hoping to achieve with Selah Hill Farms.
I hope you’ll join me.
